Wherever Dr. Naini talks, everyone is amazed by his electrifying and mesmerizing rendition of Rumi’s poetry and his ability to explain the most complex subjects in simple terms.  Many members of Dr. Naini’s audiences have commented that he “radiates warmth and love and Rumi’s spirit moves within him” and they have been “transformed by his talks.”  Professor Naini’s extraordinary gifts are perhaps described best by a recent workshop participant in UCLA who stated, "The depth of his knowledge of Molana's (Rumi's) poetry and his ability to recite a poem appropriate to the subject on the fly and then accurately translate it into English, is unparalleled."  In these turbulent times, it is wonderful to hear someone so passionately and eloquently speak of love and peace.

Dr. Naini is one of the foremost scholars of Rumi, the 13^th century Persian mystic (Sufi), who has been the best-selling poet in the U.S. for the past several years.  Dr. Naini received his B.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering and his Master's Degree in Computer Science.  He has a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania, the birthplace of ENIAC, the first digital computer in the world.  For most of the past 25 years Dr. Naini has been a Professor, Program Director, Laboratory Director, Department Chair, and College Dean at major universities throughout the world, such as University of Pennsylvania, Hawaii, Colorado, Florida, Oman, and Cairo in the fields of Computer Science, Engineering, and Information Technology. Professor Naini has been an active researcher and the designer of several state-of-the-art Computer and Information Technology projects with prestigious multi-national corporations.  He has obtained numerous grants and contracts from various funding organizations and industries for research and development of high-tech products.

Professor Naini is a world traveler who has lived and taught in four different continents.  For over 30 years of his life, Dr. Naini has been a student of mysticism, Sufism, poetry, literature, history, and numerous traditions and cultures.  He has been an invited speaker at over 300 national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, symposiums, and talk shows. In the U.S., he has presented numerous workshops and lectures at various prestigious places including the United Nations, University of Pennsylvania, Princeton University, Johns Hopkins Univ., Yale University, George Washington University, Rutgers University, Stanford University, UCSD, UCLA, UCSB, Ventura College, Caltech, Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, John Carroll Univ., Univ. of Tennessee, University of New Mexico, Embry Riddle University, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, Molana House, IMAN, Kashi Center, Chaplain Associations, Unity Churches, Science of Mind Centers, Milagro Center, and the Museum of Art and Science – Melbourne, in addition to numerous cultural centers and organizations in the U.S. and throughout the world.  He was the keynote speaker at the prestigious Shiraz University School of Medical Sciences Alumni Association (SUSMA) annual conference in New Jersey, where he was honored for his extraordinary career and efforts in spreading Rumi’s teachings and Iranian culture and heritage.  Dr. Naini’s latest book, “The Mysteries of the Universe and Rumi’s Discoveries on the Majestic Path of Love,”  has also traveled around the world, reaching places as diverse as India, Japan, Iran, Oman, Great Britain, Spain, Italy, Germany, Afghanistan, Sweden, and Australia.  Dr. Naini is the author of many innovative books and papers in the fields of science, technology, mysticism, and spirituality.  He has been featured in numerous U.S. and international websites, newspapers, and TV and radio shows, including a new PBS program, “Iran: A Celebration of Art and Culture,” hosted by the Oscar nominee Ms. Shohreh Aghdashloo, and an 18-part series, “Mysteries of the Universe” on an international TV station.  Professor Naini is also the main speaker and consultant for a documentary film and movie about Rumi which is being produced in California.

Dr. Naini’s talks attract individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds with a broad range of interests including science, technology, medicine, mysticism, the mind-body-spirit relation and balance, the magical effect of love on the human life and condition, the life journey, literature, and poetry.  Dr. Naini’s universal message has also led to offers for translating his books and talks into French, Spanish, German, Italian, Persian, and Arabic. Dr. Naini’s two new books, “The Mind, Body, Spirit Relation & Mystical Balance,” and “The Majestic Journey of the Soul in Time in Space and Beyond,” are coming out very soon.  In those two books Dr. Naini shares new aspects of Rumi’s teachings and wisdom.
